Traditional postpartum practices and rituals have been around longer than any of us in today's society have lived or walked this earth. Our ancestors understood the importance of postpartum care and cultivated a type of support that every mother should have a chance to receive. These practices and rituals have been passed through many cultures throughout Africa, Haiti, the West Indies, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America, and many more. An adequate rest period could be extremely beneficial to the mother and baby. Even though each culture has its own style of supporting a mother during those 40+ days, it all comes down to the healing and rest of the mother. With proper healing, rest, and support; complications, burnouts, and the horror stories we hear today could be limited.

I created 40 days of rest because I have always envisioned a world where postpartum care and support were not only revered but upheld the way they should be. In the U.S, postpartum support is severely lacking, especially in POC communities. I wanted to bring love, support, and culture back to our mothers. As women, we deserve to have power at our birth and deserve to feel cared for during or after birth. Let's go on this new journey of support and power of the body! See you soon.

    Daily home visits- Every morning for your 40 days, I will bring you fresh herbal tea, check on you mentally, and do some light movement with you. This is usually a 45-1 hour visit. I do this to ensure I support and have eyes on you every day, even if it is not on your scheduled postpartum & newborn support days.

    AA Belly Binding- Belly binding will be done daily for your 40-day services. This is also why daily home visits are important.

    Two (2) sessions with a Lactation Consultant

    One (1) Womb Wellness Consultation & Followup

    Placenta Care- You have the option to choose whether you would like your placenta encapsulated, tinctured, frozen, buried, etc.

    Closing the bones Ceremony

    One (1) consultation with intimacy coach

    Three (3) herbal consultations w/ made to order herbal products. These will be created based on our consultations.

    Personalized postpartum care package

All 40 day packages and contracts will need to be signed and spots secured during 3rd trimester to give all parties time to prepare.
